Your Application
Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will be accepted between January and May 2024. The scholarship committee will review applications over the course of the summer and will be in contact with you once finalists have been identified.
About the Scholarships
The Betty Stevens-Frecknall Scholarship is a prestigious national academic scholarship that is not limited to a particular college or university. Recipients must be full-time university students pursuing an academic degree in an information technology field. The selection committee will choose the scholarship recipients on the basis of scholastic ability, leadership potential and financial need.
The Kevin Jetton Service Scholarship, the William R. Reaugh Scholarship, and the John W. Council Scholarship are prestigious national service/academic scholarships that are not limited to a particular college or university. Please note that exceptional service to fellow IT students/professionals plays a major role in the selection process. To be eligible, an applicant must be full-time university students pursuing an academic degree in an information technology field. The selection committee will choose the scholarship recipients on the basis of service to fellow IT students/professionals, scholastic ability, leadership potential and financial need.
By completing the online form provided below, you will automatically be considered for all scholarships. Note: complete applications must be submitted by the last day of May.
Only information submitted via this online application will be considered by the selection committee during the semi-finalist selection process. Please do not mail any documents to the Foundation offices or to Foundation Board members.
If you are selected as a semi-finalist, you will be contacted by the Chair of the Scholarship Selection Committee and asked to provide an official transcript (for proof of GPA) and an official current class schedule (for proof of current enrollment).

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- A declared computer science/CIS/MIS/IT major with an overall and major GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- A student who has satisfactorily completed at least one full semester of college (12 semester hours or equivalent)
- Enrolled as a full-time (12 semester hours or equivalent) undergraduate student at an accredited institution in the United States
- A US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
