ITSA: Information Technology Students of America
ITSA is the Foundation’s umbrella organization for university student chapters serving information technology, computer science, and MIS students across the United States.
What ITSA is
Introduced at the 2022 USITCC as a new affiliation opportunity for IT student organizations, ITSA gives campus groups a national identity: affiliation with a 50-year-old foundation, annual awards and recognition, branding resources, and a direct connection to the Foundation’s national scholarship programs.
Purpose
ITSA pursues nine objectives shared in common with the Foundation for IT Education, including providing educational programs and services on information technology, assisting institutions and educators in developing effective IT curricula, promoting information technology as a professional career choice, and encouraging students to advance their education through grants, scholarships, and awards.
Affiliation
Campus organizations affiliate through a simple application and maintain their status year to year. Full details on benefits, affiliated institutions, the application, fees, and branding resources are available on the ITSA pages at usitcc.com.
ITSA’s complete documentation, including organization and purpose, benefits, events, affiliated institutions, the application, fees, branding resources, and awards, lives on the ITSA pages at usitcc.com, where student chapters are accustomed to finding it.
Awards and recognition
The Foundation recognizes outstanding IT student organizations annually through the FITE IT Student Organization Awards.
