Invest in the profession’s future

The Foundation provides an established and trusted vehicle for supporting those entering information systems careers, with national reach. As a 501(c)(3) corporation, gifts and grants to the Foundation are exempt from federal income tax.

Ways to give

Direct gifts. Support an existing scholarship fund or the Foundation’s general endowment. Tax-deductible contributions, payable to the Foundation for Information Technology Education, may be mailed to 205 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 810, Chicago, IL 60601-5902, and may be added to any scholarship fund.

Gifts of appreciated assets. Gifts of appreciated property, including stocks, bonds, securities, and real estate, can have a dramatic impact. A direct gift of an appreciated asset often has greater impact than selling the asset and giving cash, particularly for assets held longer than one year.

Bequests and planned gifts. The Foundation accepts bequests and can explore charitable remainder unitrusts, charitable remainder annuity trusts, and other planned-giving vehicles. Donors making estate gifts are invited to join the DPMA Legacy Society.

Matching gifts. Many companies match employee gifts to eligible educational charities. Check whether your employer offers a matching program; it is a powerful way to multiply your gift.

Establish a new scholarship

The Foundation is an excellent vehicle for establishing a named scholarship that supports students pursuing information systems careers. If you would like to create a new program aligned with the Foundation’s mission, contact the Foundation’s president to open a conversation.

Trusted stewards

The Foundation’s services and scholarships exist because of the visionary support of past donors. Endowment gifts, including those from AITP chapters, regions, officers, and individual members, are often placed in the Foundation’s endowment fund to ensure continuity and maximum long-term leverage. We are grateful for this support and pledge our best efforts to use these resources wisely.
