USITCC: The United States Information Technology Collegiate Conference

For nearly three decades, the Foundation put a national stage under collegiate IT students: first as a financial sponsor of the AITP National Collegiate Conference, then as sole producer of its successor, USITCC.

The story

The Foundation was the inaugural sponsor of the AITP National Collegiate Conference, first held in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1996, and supported the event every year it was held until the NCC was wound down along with the Association of Information Technology Professionals, a separate nonprofit organization.

Rather than let the tradition end, the Foundation took sole and complete responsibility for delivering a replacement. On April 6-7, 2018, students from across the country converged on San Antonio, Texas for the first-ever USITCC, competing for trophies, medals, and bragging rights.

USITCC weathered a great deal in its eight years. The 2020 conference was cancelled two weeks before opening by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic; the 2021 and 2022 events were held virtually; the conference returned live in Plano in 2023. Fall regional events were added at Missouri State University (2022), Springfield, Missouri (2023), and Amarillo College (2024).

The final USITCC Nationals was held March 27-29, 2025 in Springfield, Missouri.
